Llama & Home was founded by the Valera-Guffanti brothers with a simple belief: in a world where technology makes it possible to produce everything on a massive scale, our homes deserve something truly special. We create limited-edition home décor that celebrates craftsmanship, natural materials, and timeless design.

Each collection begins with the development of a design concept by our graphic, interior, and fashion designers. We also value and incorporate original designs and proposals created by the artisans themselves, preserving their knowledge, creativity, and traditions. Once the design has been defined, it is sent to artisans in Andean communities, who carefully select sheep’s wool, alpaca, or baby alpaca fibres.

The fibres are dyed by hand in the Andes Mountains using natural pigments obtained from fruits, vegetables, plants, flowers, and seeds. The loom is then carefully prepared, and each textile is woven entirely by hand through a meticulous process that can take up to three weeks. As a result, every textile develops its own texture, character, and subtle natural variations, making it an authentic and truly unique piece.

Once the weaving process is complete and the textile has passed its first quality control inspection, it is sent to our production workshop in Chiclayo, in northern Peru. There, our designers carefully select each textile and determine what it will become based on its design, texture, dimensions, and durability: cushions, rugs, blankets, upholstery textiles, or other home accessories.

Following this selection, the production process begins, carried out by hand by fashion designers and skilled sewers. Each piece is carefully cut, structured, and finished, with exceptional attention given to the stitching, details, and durability to achieve the highest-quality finishes.

Once completed, every product undergoes a second rigorous quality control inspection. Only pieces that meet our standards are approved, carefully packaged, and shipped to Canada. Here, we offer our finished collections and also provide a specialized furniture upholstery service using our exclusive handwoven textiles.
